Writing your grocery list in that order — Produce, Bakery, Deli, Meat & Seafood, Dairy & Eggs, Pantry, Breakfast & Snacks, Beverages, Frozen, Household, Personal Care, Baby, Pet — means you walk the store once instead of doubling back, and your frozen food spends the least time in the cart.

Why aisle order beats a random list
Two things go wrong with an unordered list. The obvious one is backtracking: you read "milk, apples, bread, cheese, bananas" and cross the store four times. The less obvious one is temperature. Frozen items picked up first sit in your cart for the whole trip, and the USDA advises keeping cold food out of the 40–140 °F "Danger Zone" and refrigerating perishables within two hours of shopping — one hour when it is above 90 °F outside. Putting Frozen last in your list is the cheapest food safety habit there is.
